Directs field sales representatives in achieving sales goals. Supports representatives in developing customer relationships and negotiating/closing sales. Maintains deep knowledge of the regional market to ensure service offerings address customer needs. Works directly with Corporate Sales to drive consistency and quality of sales and pricing practices within the region. Partners with the Lines of Business to leverage technical expertise during the sales process.

  • Takes responsibility for the performance of Field Sales Reps; provides coaching to improve sales and performance
  • Prepares individual and team action plans to surface sales leads and to penetrate new markets
  • Conducts reviews with Field Sales Reps to garner insight on training and development needs
  • Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with SVP Corporate Sales to monitor key performance indicators
  • Develops service mix, pricing and margins according to the regional strategy set by the Vice President
  • Plans and manages regional customer portfolio based on the market development strategy; leads management of key accounts such as private water companies within the region

  • Skills to lead/engage all regional sales personnel to meet annual goals
  • Ability to increase penetration of markets within region
  • Must be technically competent to sale and deliver new products and services
  • Must have strong relationship building skills
  • Achievement of individual and team sales targets; individual sales performance of direct reports
  • Increase penetration/market share within the region

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-7 years of experience in Sales with responsibility for managing front-line sales representatives
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of supplier relationship management
  • Proven leadership and ability to successfully lead/engage sales teams
  • Must live in his/her region
  • Must be available to 50% domestic travel
